The latest Downspace project is a short documentary called Scooterama featuring the Vespa-ists and Lambrettists of Vancouver, Portland, Seattle, and even Plymouth, England. 6 minutes of Quadropheniac fun.

     

Commercial Drive is the folluw-up film to A Day on the Drive, a collage of sights and sounds on Vancouver's eastside promenade, making a special appearance on Turnhere.com (go to turnhere.com and on Canada for the link. Also worth checking out while you're there is Main Street, a film about Mount Pleasant, Vancouver).

     

A Day on the Drive follows the adventures of Maddy, Valentina, Miss Kim, D-Rock and Rob-Rock as they aimlessly wander Commercial Drive looking for some rad in a wasteland of patchouli and drum circles. A precurser to the 3 minute short on Turnhere.com.

     

Roll Models is about a girls skateboard programme at the Roundhouse. The girls learned to shred the rad and to make film over 8 weeks, and thus begins a lifelong obsession. 10 minutes of rollin, animation, and all-round radness.

     

Lighthouse Park is a walk in the park. To the ocean. A perilous journey, suitable for only the fittest pirates.

Champ of the Ramp is a film about the now-defunct, but legendary, 76' mini-ramp in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, known affectionately as theCractpipe.
